A very interesting url rewrite tip by Neil Patel here. Many automated web based systems and especially blogging software automatically add the post date as an extended folder. We assume this practice is perfectly sound but it makes sense that over time the post may lose its strength based on its age. Just don't forget those 301 redirects!
